I cut back on the white sugar just a bit and increased the baking powder just a bit. The texture is/was excellent. The taste also excellent. Just the right amount of crunch on the edge. But yes, these are more cake-like cookies and that's what I've been wanting in a c.c. cookie recipe since I lost mine years ago. Great!
This recipe is literally amazing like oml I literally can’t- I love it
I felt like baking for my family and neighbors and boy where these good! I got a lot of compliments and people wanting the recipe. also held up when I mailed some to my sisters. I doubled the recipe since I was gifting so many and it was easy peasy. I used a mix of semi sweet chips and milk chocolate chips and I thought it was perfect. I will say even a single batch will make a mountain of cookies, not complaining though!
This is a great recipe I made these today and there were no leftovers I'm going to make these cookies again on saturday.
The cookies are too fluffy to be considered your usual chocolate chip cookies. The recipe may need a slight alteration to prevent this.
They were done around 12-13 min in my oven. I followed everything except that I added 1 tsp. of cornstarch and 1 tsp. of baking soda instead of baking powder because I only used what I had on-hand. I also chilled the dough some before I rolled it into balls. They turned out very good.
Made these for Christmas. The cookies are wonderful. The only thing I changed was the chips to dark chocolate and I added walnuts. My grandkids loved them so much, I am baking them again today. The recipe was really easy and they bake beautifully in 12 minutes
Took forever in my oven but taste ok......
