You Might Be Using That Drawer Under Your Oven Wrong
If you’re like me, you use the drawer below your oven to store cookie sheets, cutting boards, and whatever else you can cram in there.
But that’s not how you’re supposed to be using it.
If you have an electric oven, that nifty little space is actually a warming drawer, and it’s meant to keep food at serving temperature. (If you have a gas stove, it’s likely that drawer is for broiling.)
How many people actually use it for that instead of extra cabinet space, though? No clue. People on the internet seem pretty confused about it, too:
As much as we appreciate it for its cookware-holding capabilities, it could definitely come in handy when we’re entertaining this holiday season.
When guests are running late, just stow dinner away in the warming drawer until they arrive--if you’re willing to give up storage space, that is.
