Where do I get toffee bits?
Love this dip. Always good to take to a party. I keep cut apples (granny smiths) in pineapple juice to keep them from browning.
This is one of our favorite recipes paired with granny smith apples. I use less sugar than called for (by 1/4). Also great with Splenda/Splenda brown sugar blend & low fat cream cheese.
Shari0012 - I make this dip all the time but with less sugar and its creamy and delish. Let the cream cheese get to room temp and then mix with a mixer. Add 1/4 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and mix well. Add about 1/4 cup (or to taste) toffee bits. Put in the fridge so the flavors can meld at least a few hours. Very smooth and yummy.
Used a mixer to blend cream cheese and sugars but still had too much grainy-ness from the sugar. Did anyone else have issues with this? Otherwise, a great dip.
This is the best "dip" for apples that I have ever had. It is different and a favorite at all times.
