Points for deliciousness and points for few ingredients and easy prep. It's a tad too sweet for my taste, so I'll probably back off on the sugar just a bit next time.
This dip tasted just like pumpkin pie filling. It was absolutely delicious with the apples. I think it would taste so good to spread on a bagel too. My only recommendation is to cream the cream cheese in a mixer before adding the rest of the ingredients because I didn't and ended up with cream cheese lumps in the dip.
I have been making this at the holidays for about 10 years. Everyone loves it. I am frequently asked for the recipe.
Yummy! Very deserty. Love the pumpkin cream cheese mixture.
Delicious! This dip was a big hit at Halloween party! I found it very easy to make in my Ninja mixer. Will definitely make it again!
A family favorite among kids and adults. Good anytime of year.
This dip is great and super quick to make! I added a bit of nutmeg, and we used nilla wafers and ginger snacks to dip.
Always a hit....other reviewers are right-spices and quantities for this recipe are very flexible. I add crystalized. ginger, walnuts, & pumpkin pie spice - serve on graham crackers too.
Excellent! I've made it numerous times always at least doubling the recipe. Definitely sweet I cut the sugar in half.
This was delicious and VERY easy. I used the entire 8 oz pkg of cream cheese instead of wasting part of an eight ounce pkg. I adjusted the other ingredients accordingly but added extra pumpkin as someone else suggested. I also added some nutmeg since others mentioned adding additional spices. This tasted great without being overly precise about the quantity of each ingredient. I served with granny smith apples, ginger snaps and pretzels. Loved the granny smiths and the gingersnaps - not so sure about the pretzels.
I make this dip every fall, and it is always a big hit. I'm taking it to the park for after school snacks today (Friday). I'm bringing apple slices and graham crackers. Will definitely try pretzels next time! When I make this, I use pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon and slightly less brown sugar. So yummy!
Great dip recipe - perfect for parties! This dip recipe is on the sweet side alone, but served with fat gingersnap cookies, it's wonderful! Overall, it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare - although the recipe doesn't state this, you should make sure your cream cheese is softened to ensure full incorporation. Also, I used just plain old Log Cabin maple syrup, but I would probably recommend (if you can) to spring for the "real" stuff to get a more complex flavor. It's great for the holiday season because almost all local markets will sell gingersnaps in their bakery, which is well worth waiting for with this dip. I will definitely make this recipe again - Enjoy!
This is a great dip. It is easy, wonderful tastes and something different from "the usual" dips. Great for a fall party.
I LOVE THIS DIP. I make it alot in the fall. I usually add twice the amount of pumpkin, and add a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and 1/4 tsp of ground ginger to this. I serve it with apples, ginger snaps, or plain vanilla wafers. It's usually the first thing gone at a party. AND it's easy enough that my kids can help me make it.
Love making this dip! SO easy, but I use confectioners sugar instead of brown sugar...comes out a little smoother...and I serve it with ginger snaps, apples, and pretzels...the pretzels sound weird but are DELICIOUS!
I made this recipe for a girl's day of scrapbooking. I served it with apple slices but it would be great with gingersnaps or spread on gingerbread, too. It was good but it didn't all disappear. Next time I'd make a half recipe.
This recipe is EXCELLENT!!!! We have fall parties every year , and every year the adults AND kids go straight for this dip. Awesome!!!!! My daughter asks me to make it for school. Try it once; you'll be sold...
Hit with kids and adults at a party last night. I was short on time and just whipped it with a fork instead of pulling out the mixer. A little lumpy but still "very tasty" according to a picky 4 year old.
Love this dip. I plan on making it again and again!
wow! This dip was amazing! I made it a couple days ahead of time and it was great even the day after the party! I served it with ginger snaps and apple slices. I will definitely make this again.
