Fantastic but super rich, I might cut the shredded cheese back to 1 or 1.5 cups next time. I added sauteed onions and used garlic & herb cream cheese — it was AWESOME. I also put an egg wash on top and sprinkled on everything seasoning.
We use these for morning tailgating or beach breakfasts and they are a HUGE hit. They are good hot or room temperature. You can omit cream cheese, but it adds a lot. I use precooked sausage to simplify cleanup, but I warm it and add the cheeses to melt, then spread over the crescent rolls. Super easy and delicious.
