Espresso Crepes with Ice Cream and Dark Chocolate Sauce
Since both the crepes and chocolate sauce can be made ahead, this is the simplest of desserts. If you make the sauce ahead, warm it just before serving.

Another option for the crepes is to melt a tablespoon or two of butter with a tablespoon or two of sugar in a saute pan. Add a crepe at a time, warm then fan-fold with tongs. Move to the side of the pan and repeat until all are warmed. Plate them up with the ice cream and sauce, then enjoy. Please taste them sitting down, or have someone nearby to catch you when you swoon.
Delicious dessert however the crepe recipe didn't turn out for me. I ended up throwing out the batter and making my tried and true crepe recipe with the addition of instant coffee powder. I served these as I remember having crepes in South America:I put a spoonful of warm chocolate sauce on the crepe and then folded in half, and in half again. Then I topped the folded chocolate filled crepe with ice cream and drizzled a bit more chocolate on top of the ice cream because it looks so pretty. Delicious!
