We had an abundance of Avocados recently due to high winds & I was asked to bring dessert for a boat parade party of which many guests were going to be unknown to us . . . Vegans to Carnivores of all ages, so this recipe worked a charm! The only thing I did change was to the icing as I found the recipe rather bland chocolate tasting, so added a teaspoon of salt & vanilla and that improved it tremendously.

I made this cake and took it to work. It was a huge hit! No one could guess that it was avocado. They all wanted to know why the frosting was so pretty and shiny though. It has to be the oil in the avocados I would assume. Either way everyone who tried it loved it! I'm making it again tomorrow.
I found the cake to be moist and delicious. The frosting had an off taste to it. I think a tablespoon of vanilla extract would have fixed it but I didn't taste it until after I had frosted the cake. Some walnuts in the frosting would be Delish too!
