Make sure the butter you spread over the tender dough is very soft; otherwise, the dough will tear.
This was a lot of work for a recipe that is just ok. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, as I followed the recipe exactly as written. The biscuits were not cooked through and after cooking them until they were done, they were too hard for my liking. I think maybe a bigger pan should be used and cutting the dough into smaller pieces may help.
