How do you make frozen ones?
These brussels sprouts were delicious! I usually roast frozen brussels sprouts in the oven, which are very good, but I had a bag of fresh that I wanted to do something different with. This recipe is quick, simple, and the results are outstanding. Just a touch of sweetness with the goodness of bacon. I cooked mine six minutes because we don't like them mushy. They were perfect. My husband and I liked them so much that I made them next night with a bag of frozen sprouts. They weren't as good as fresh, but still definitely worth doing if you only have frozen brussels sprouts. This is certainly a recipe that's going in my permanent file.
Good B S. Used only 3 slices of turkey bacon and a little less sugar and salt than recipe called for; still tasted great.
Great recipe! My husband thought he didn't like brussel sprouts, but he does now. I will make it often. But, I couldn't taste any brown sugar, so I'll try adding more next time.
These were wonderful! Was lucky enough to find Brussels Sprouts on the stalk at the market and decided to try this recipe. The only thing I did different was I added 2 Tbsp of brown sugar (because I love salty/sweet) and I let the stock cook out so it wasn't so soupy. Served it with Cornish hens and it was a real hit! I usually use Michael Symons's recipe for deep fried Brussels Sprouts (which are amazing!) but this was a little different for a change. Would definitely make these again.
This recipe was good. I sautéed the Brussels sprouts in the drippings before adding the broth. I halved the liquid and it was still too much, so I will decrease it even more next time. With those changes this will be in the regular rotation.
Best recipe I've ever found for Brussels Sprouts and easy to make!
Never loved Brussel Srouts until today. I have had brussel sprouts on other occasions but never liked them. I was a little skepticle about this recipe but I found myself with brussel sprouts so I gave it a shot. I loved it! I followed it to a tee and it was delicious.
These turned out a little soupy, but I thought they tasted OK. My husband, who LOVES brussels sprouts, didn't like them much. Served them for Thanksgiving, but probably won't make them again.
We couldn't believe how good these were-! A few people who had these at my Thanksgiving dinner asked for the recipe- not something you expect when you're talking about Brussels Sprouts! I'll definitely be making these again next year. Yum :)
This was absolutely delicious! Definitely will make again!
This is by far the most delicious brussel sprout recipie EVER! Both my daugher and I love brussels.... but this tops it off!! That broth makes it very flavorful!!!!
Yumm-o! We are sprout lovers so this recipe fit right in. In my experience with Brussels sprouts, it is the bacon and or the grease that makes all greens tasty and sinful. I always grate a bit of fresh nutmeg over all greens and this dish was no exception. This works well with fresh or frozen sprouts. A keeper.
Yummy! Cooked exactly as recipe is stated and loved it!
These turned out perfect!! I cooked as directed and the brussel sprouts had a great texture and the bacon added a nice crunch. I used fresh brussel sprouts. I made these with porktenderloin, creamed leak mash potatoes, red-pepper jelly carrots and rolls. I will make these again and they are super easy to make!
Great...My fiancee isn't a big fan of BS, but he loved these and asked me to make again. Followed recipe exact.
Used this as a side for Thanksgiving. Easy and very tasty. Definitely a keeper.
I don't typically make brussel sprouts but their crunchy sweetness was a lovely accompaniment to a pork loin roast & apple compote and a butternut squash risotto. And they weren't bitter at all! :)
