This recipe is extremely delicious as well as quick and simple to make. I have made it multiple times and everyone loves it. I use it as a coffee cake. Love this recipe, thank you to the originator.
I don't know what happened with the other people but my bread turned out perfect. Your right this is what we used for friendship bread thanks oh for the person who said you needed to bake it 45=50minutes that's what she said to do???,

We used to call thus Amish friendship bread. Bake two. Give one along with recipe, to a neighbor or friend with instructions to do the same. Kinda fun.
This is always a hit when I make it for my family and church dinners. I do add raisins to one loaf when I make it. It is so moist!!
I would not recommend this recipe.. it’s too soft and it cracks even after its cooled.. I used all the ingredients exactly , even the buttermilk.. I will not save this recipe.. it did smell good but too crumbly.
I agree that the baking time is off, also the size of pan/pans needs to be mentioned, the bread is very good.
The baking time is off on this recipe. More like 40-45 minutes.
